Meet the Cherry Creek Benefits Team

Randy Niederbrach | Principal

Randy co-founded Cherry Creek Benefits in 1984 after an 11-year career in sales and sales management with a national life insurance company. He has extensive experience with Taft Hartley plans as well as small and large group, fully insured, and self-funded plans. Randy has served on broker advisory councils for various insurance companies.

Randy worked with self-funded Taft Hartley accounts for 15 years, which involved carrier negotiation, claims analysis, plan design, and compliance coordination. Working with trustees of the plan, both labor and management, and collectively bargained benefits is a unique skill set that benefits all our clients.

Golfing, fly fishing, snowshoeing, and boating in Grand Lake, Colorado is a favorite pastime of Randy’s. His biggest thrill outside of family is fly fishing in Alaska. He also enjoys free time with his beloved grandchildren.

Scott Niederbrach | Principal

Scott has industry experience spanning more than 30 years. Most of his professional career has been providing consulting and insurance brokerage services in the employee benefits field. He co-founded Cherry Creek Benefits in 1984 and has led the development of Cherry Creek Benefits into a regional firm. Scott has extensive experience in self-funded plans for mid-market and large employers. He has provided consulting and brokerage work for hundreds of employers over his career. His experience and expertise covers a broad range of employee benefits and compliance issues including health care reform. Scott has worked with numerous employers to create strategies and implement programs to positively impact the cost of benefits programs while providing benefits for employees designed to attract and retain valued human capital. He has built long-term client relationships over the past 25 years. His work includes speaking on employee benefits and related compliance topics. He has also served on various broker advisory and leadership councils for various insurance companies.

Scott enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid golfer who loves spending time with his friends on and around the golf course. He also has fun with photography, especially taking pictures of his granddaughters, as well as traveling and dining out.

Jim Vandersluis | Principal

Since 1980, Jim owned Consolidated Administrators, Inc., a Denver-based benefits brokerage associated with his father’s property and casualty insurance agency. He merged Consolidated with Cherry Creek Benefits in 2016. He has extensive experience working with small and large employers.

Andrew Neff | Partner

Andy provides clients with a wealth of knowledge he has gained from his extensive background in the employee benefits industry. Andy has been with Cherry Creek Benefits since 2009 and became a partner in the firm in 2012. Prior to joining Cherry Creek Benefits, Andy worked at Great-West Healthcare and CIGNA where he held a variety of underwriting, sales and management positions over the course of ten years.

Andy is an expert in partially self-funded medical plans, stop loss contracts, and experience-based underwriting methodology.

Andy is the proud father of four children. He and his wife Brooke are actively involved in many sports and activities. Andy is also an avid outdoorsman, with hunting and fly-fishing being his primary pursuits. The Neff family enjoys traveling whenever possible, especially camping in the mountains of Colorado.

Barry Teeters | Principal

Barry became a Principal at Cherry Creek Benefits in July of 2018. Prior to joining CCB, Barry was a founding partner in Assured Benefit Solutions. He has been in the insurance industry for the past 29 years, helping employers solve the ever-increasing challenge of providing innovative and quality health insurance coverage to retain and attract employees.

He has served the employee benefits industry as President of the Metro Denver Association of Health Underwriters and Legislative Chair for the Colorado State Association of Health Underwriters. His volunteer contributions to the healthcare industry include the reintroduction of rating flexibility in 2005. He was the keynote author of Solutions for a Healthy Colorado, a 2008 healthcare reform proposal, selected for guidance in healthcare reform by the Colorado State Legislature 208 Healthcare Commission.

Barry is a Colorado native who attended the University of Colorado where he met his wife, Beth, of 37 years. He enjoys spending time with his three children, family, and friends. In his free time, he can often be found biking, gardening, traveling, collecting new varietals of wine, or in service to Re:Vision, a non-profit organization that has found Barry’s passion.

Cari Deslatte | Partner

Cari received her B.A with distinction from the University of Colorado at Denver in Psychology with minors in Communications and Sociology. After working as a mental health counselor, she changed course and joined the insurance industry. With more than 10 years of insurance experience, Cari is well-versed in consulting, negotiations, claim advocacy, and customer service. She has been with Cherry Creek Benefits since 2007 and brought with her the expertise she earned during her extensive work as an Account Manager in the brokerage community. She currently holds the designations of Registered Health Underwriter and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant from The American College of Finance. She has also served on the board of the Colorado Group Insurance Association and the United HealthCare Benefit Advisory Committee.

Cari is an expert at teaching others and explaining concepts. She provides efficient and effective employee benefits consultation which includes plan design, renewal negotiations, plan implementation, employee education, administration assistance and ongoing customer service.

Cari is a Colorado native and the mom of two very active boys. On her off time she enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, and all things outdoors.

Alyssa Oligmueller | Director of Compliance and Chief Legal Counsel

Alyssa is a licensed attorney with the State of Colorado and received her license in October 2016. She received her JD and a certificate in Health Law from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2016. She is excited to be a member of the Cherry Creek Benefits team. Alyssa focused her legal career on healthcare and health benefits and has work experience reflecting her knowledge of the healthcare system. Alyssa has a diverse work background: from being a barista during law school, to working for a federal Senate committee, to in-house counsel. Alyssa is not a Colorado native, but considers herself very close because she has lived here for 21 years. Alyssa enjoys cooking and reading just about anything. Tim Collins | Benefits Consultant

Tim receive his Bachelor of Journalism Degree from the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) with a major in advertising and minors in English, history, and marketing. Tim moved to Colorado in 1993 and worked for a reputable advertising and public relations firm before branching out to exercise his account management and sales skills with a Fortune 200 healthcare company. Tim spent 18 years in the healthcare industry developing and leading sales teams with top-notch medical device and capital medical equipment manufacturers, such as BTE Technologies and Animas Corporation (a division of Johnson & Johnson).

In 2008, Tim took a big leap from medical equipment and devices sales and embarked on a position with Kaiser Permanente as a Large Group New Sales Executive. “I wanted to see my daughters grow and life on the road, at that time, was not affording me that chance.” At KP, Tim had the unique opportunity to work with more than 90% of the broker consultants along the front range. He became the top sales representative for Kaiser Permanente in the Colorado region after his second year. “In that position, I saw, first hand, which brokers engage and which ones didn’t engage with their clients”. “I know that this concept gets overused in our industry, but Cherry Creek Benefits always stood out when it came to client engagement and the implementation of solutions.”

He joined CCB in May of 2018 after nine years of working for a major insurance carrier and a national insurance consulting firm. Tim has observed since moving the consultant side of the business that the biggest misconception in the market is that local/regional firms don’t have the horsepower and capabilities as the big national names. “That couldn’t be further from the truth,” says Tim. “I have more access to HR capabilities, unique account management services, and industry resources at CCB than ever before.”

Tim is licensed in Accident and Health, Life, and Property and Casualty Insurance.

He is the father to two teenaged daughters who attend Cherry Creek High School. His older daughter is committed to play D1 Lacrosse at the University of Oregon. Tim enjoys live music, mountain biking, running, and weight-training. He also spends a lot of time pacing the sidelines or volunteering as a stat keeper for the Cherry Creek High School girls lacrosse program.

Jodi Zanger | Senior Benefit Analyst

Jodi has more than 20 years experience in benefit plan financial analysis. Her career started in the corporate headquarters of a human resource department for a Fortune 500 company in Southern California. After relocating to Colorado, she worked for a national brokerage firm as well as a private independent firm before joining the Cherry Creek Benefits team. She primarily provides periodic claims reporting and other plan financial analytics for self-funded and partially self-funded benefits plans for mid-to large-sized groups.

Jodi specializes in analyzing high-quality, client-specific plan financial data, which includes providing client-specific reports to aid in the groups’ plan management processes. She also assists in forecasting and modeling for benefit plan funding arrangements, plus marketing fully-insured and self-funded plans.

She enjoys spending all her spare time with her family relaxing, target shooting, hiking / biking in the summer and touring the warm southern states. Winter months give way to cooking, baking, and catching up on movies (and of course puzzles). Once her kids leave for college, she’d like to volunteer at church and other charitable organizations when she has respite from her caregiving role.

Jen Reigel | Senior Account Manager

Born and raised in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Jen joined Cherry Creek Benefits in March 2015 and could not be more excited to be a part of this fabulous team.

With more than 13 years of experience on the carrier side, Jen came to Cherry Creek Benefits with a background in account management, self-funded underwriting and corporate wellness design and implementation. Customer service is Jen’s top priority and strives to exceed customers’ expectations.

She hopes to one day travel overseas and explore all Europe has to offer, Italy in particular.

When not at work, Jen can be found working in the yard or on home interior projects. She also enjoys spending the summertime cruising around in her 1979 VW bug convertible with her son. She is an avid sushi lover and claims she could eat it every day!

Dianne Michener | Account Executive

Dianne Michener began her career with a local third-party administrator and at Cigna while attending the University of Denver Women’s College.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. During the summer and fall seasons, Dianne enjoys canning jams, jellies, salsa, and many other foods, an activity which she has enjoyed for more than 25 years. Dianne is also a professional cake-decorator and baker. She volunteers weekly as a caretaker for an elderly neighbor.

Dianne and her husband Paul, recently welcomed their first grandchild Bryan into the world.

Dianne has more than 34 years of experience in employee benefits. Since 1991, Dianne has worked on the consulting side of the business. Prior to joining Cherry Creek Benefits, she was an Account Executive/Consultant at Willis of Colorado (formerly HRH).

With a thorough understanding of the benefits business and active industry involvement, Dianne proves to be a great fit with Cherry Creek. She brings to the table a solid background in consulting, compliance, customer service and problem resolution, as well as being well-versed in funding mechanisms and products. Over the years, Dianne has served on various broker advisory and leadership councils for a number of insurance companies.

Joan Emanuel | Human Resources & Office Manager

Before joining the team at Cherry Creek Benefits, Joan worked as a physical therapist’s aide. She found her work very rewarding as she helped patients dealing with pain by performing various laser and electrical therapies and assisting with exercises. Additionally, Joan has held a number of sales, bookkeeping, and human resource positions for country clubs and hotels.

Physical and mental well-being are two top priorities for Joan, who works out daily. Joan prizes her family above all else, with a life goal to be the best mother she can to her son and daughter.

Originally from Warren, Ohio, Joan enjoys traveling to beautiful places like the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Mexico. When she has down time, Joan enjoys spending time with her dog Ranger and watching the TV show Chopped.

Her favorite movie is “Legends of the Fall” and her favorite food is pasta. Lasagna is her favorite type of pasta, because she loves to make her own sauce and uses her “secret recipe” meatballs.

Sherri Woodcock | Senior Account Manager

Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, Sherri moved to Colorado in 1994. Sherri joined Cherry Creek Benefits in February of 2016 after spending 11 years with a large brokerage firm in Denver.

With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Sherri came to Cherry Creek Benefits with a background in account management with an emphasis on client service, handling day-to-day client issues, escalated claim resolution, billing, client/employee problem solving, and compliance. She is involved in every aspect of the client renewal process from initial review, to carrier negotiation, and finally implementation and continued administration.

Sherri enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending concerts, and weekend getaways to the mountains. Sherri has a 5-year-old rescued shepherd mix dog named Willow that she also enjoys spending time with.

Margo Ellis | Marketing & Communications Manager

Margo joins Cherry Creek Benefits as a client specialist, managing all marketing and communications needs for the firm. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Journalism from the University of New Mexico. In previous years, she worked at George Washington University and AAA Colorado as a communications director and managing editor, respectively. Her background includes writing and editing, marketing and communications, website development, event planning, and project management, among other things.

Margo is a native Coloradan and also has roots in New Mexico. Her other interests include tennis, skiing, gardening, reading, photography, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Rebecca Trump | Account Executive

Rebecca brings many years of experience in the insurance and HR industries to CCB.

Her career began as a Bond Account Executive at a major Property & Casualty insurance carrier. From bond underwriting, Rebecca moved on to the brokerage side of the insurance industry and honed her skills in employee benefits before working in Human Resources for employers in manufacturing and retail.

Rebecca adds value with broad experience in payroll and HRIS management and a proven record of achievement driving design, implementation and enhancement of compensation and benefit program plans.

A near native of Colorado and a graduate of The University of Denver, Rebecca pursues hiking, skiing, swimming, reading and writing in her free time.

Nikki Crowe | Benefits Administration Specialist

Cherry Creek is pleased to welcome back Nikki to the team. She has spent the past 16 years as an educator dedicated to her students but worked with Cherry Creek at the beginning of her career. She is excited to be back in the world of Employee Benefits and looks forward to assisting others.

Nikki and her family are very involved in activities with their community church. She also is a strong supporter of her alma mater. Nikki is a mom of two young children. Lisa Rayburn | Account Manager

Lisa has more than 18 years of experience as an employee benefits broker. She earned her Chartered Benefits Consultant designation in 2011 and has been successful in account management and advocating for employers as well as employees. Prior to working as a broker, she worked for a major insurance carrier. She excels in implementation of new benefits for companies, holding annual open enrollment meetings and keeping clients in compliance with COBRA and ACA.

Angie Mouw | Account Manager

Angie and her husband are outdoor enthusiasts. They enjoy taking their dogs out hiking and camping throughout all of Colorado’s beautiful seasons. They also keep busy with working on their home, building BBQs and cooking on them as well as building and working on classic cars. If there’s ever downtime, you’ll find her buried in a book.

Angie has 12 years of experience as an account manager with an emphasis on client service. She started in the insurance industry shortly after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine. She is well-versed in the entire client-renewal process from initial review to carrier negotiation and handles all implementation and continued administration. Laura Christensen | Account Manager

Laura comes to us with more than 10 years of customer service experience and is very excited to be here at Cherry Creek Benefits. Jen Weitzel | Benefits Administration Specialist

A true Colorado native, Jen was born here and now enjoys rural living with her husband, two horses, four dogs, and four cats. Caring for and working with animals is a passion of Jen’s, as she has a steady clientele of training working dogs, such as Rottweilers, Bullmastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, and Boxers. Jen’s free time is spent working on her five-acre property, fixing up her house, four-wheeling on trails in the surrounding area near her house, and enjoying time with family. Jen comes to us after working eight years at HealthSmart Benefit Solutions, where she was the supervisor of ancillary finance. Dana Smith | Business Systems Administrator

Dana brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry to our company. Starting in the Property and Casualty industry with an agency as an Account Manager, moved on to run a National Child Care Program and then worked at The Hartford as an Underwriter and ultimately as a Sales Rep. Started at Cherry Creek Benefits in 2003 until current with duties including Agency Management Systems, Payroll and new employee implementation.

Outside of work you will most likely find her on the golf course, taking care of her Silver Lab Taz or enjoying time with her granddaughter.

Vicki Schildt | Accounting Specialist

Vicki enjoyed a long, rewarding career as a commercial sales representative with a major Property/Casualty insurance company. She took early retirement and immersed herself in favorite pastimes of golf, travel, and volunteering, while also enjoying time spent with friends, family, and her beloved dogs.

When the opportunity to join the staff at Cherry Creek Benefits arose in 2016, Vicki accepted the challenge of learning another area of the insurance business.

Kim Bingham | Senior Account Manager

Kim joined Cherry Creek Benefits in July of 2016. Prior to this, she was with Consolidated Administrators, Inc. brokerage firm for 20 years. Kim specializes in managing accounts of various sizes, working closely with clients on their day-to-day needs, and strives to establish a long-term, trusting relationship with them.

A native of Colorado, naturally, Kim and her husband Stan love to spend time in the great outdoors. Camping, riding ATVs, and exploring new areas around the state every chance they get. They also enjoy being pet parents to two cats, Shooter and Toby.

Laura Talt | Account Executive

With 15 years of expertise in the consulting industry, Laura partners with her clients on attracting and retaining talent. Laura creates strategies that are both appealing to employees, and cost-effective for their employers. She has partnered with the C-Suites of over 70 public and private entities. Laura’s expertise spans from managing small business clients, to jumbo-sized employers. Laura is particularly focused on aligning overall business objectives, Human Resources, and company leadership.

Laura holds a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, in Business Administration from the State University of New York (SUNY), College at Oswego. Laura also holds a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Wayne State University.

Laura enjoys spending time with her children, Emma and Charles. Laura is an avid lover of the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, skiing, boating, reading, and going for long walks in Cherry Creek Park with her Wheaten Terrier Molly.

Michele Morris | Account Manager

Prior to joining Cherry Creek Benefits in 2018, Michele worked as a business manager and account manager for more than 10 years at Assured Benefit Solutions, a Denver-based health insurance brokerage firm. She has been in the employee benefits industry for more than 30 years, having also worked in account management, operations, and compliance at Great-West Healthcare. Michele is passionate about her work, and her top priority is providing excellent service to her clients, including problem-solving for eligibility, claims, and billing issues, and working directly with carriers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

A Colorado native, Michele graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. She and her husband Scott enjoy spending time with family and friends and taking care of their two beloved dogs. Traveling to warm and sunny beach locations is always on their radar, and they also enjoy heading up to the mountains for hiking and skiing adventures.

He has built long-term client relationships over the past 25 years. His work includes speaking on employee benefits and related compliance topics. He has also served on various broker advisory and leadership councils for various insurance companies.

    Scott enjoys spending time with his family. He is an avid golfer who loves spending time with his friends on and around the golf course. He also has fun with photography, especially taking pictures of his granddaughters, as well as traveling and dining out.

    Since 1980, Jim owned Consolidated Administrators, Inc., a Denver-based benefits brokerage associated with his father’s property and casualty insurance agency. He merged Consolidated with Cherry Creek Benefits in 2016. He has extensive experience working with small and large employers.

    Barry Teeters—Principal

    Barry became a Principal at Cherry Creek Benefits in July of 2018. Prior to joining CCB, Barry was a founding partner in Assured Benefit Solutions. He has been in the insurance industry for the past 29 years, helping employers solve the ever-increasing challenge of providing innovative and quality health insurance coverage to retain and attract employees.

    Barry has served the employee benefits industry as President of the Metro Denver Association of Health Underwriters and Legislative Chair for the Colorado State Association of Health Underwriters. His volunteer contributions to the healthcare industry include the reintroduction of rating flexibility in 2005. He was the keynote author of Solutions for a Healthy Colorado, a 2008 Healthcare reform proposal, selected for guidance in healthcare reform by the Colorado State Legislature 208 Healthcare Commission.

    Barry is a Colorado native who attended the University of Colorado where he met his wife, Beth, of 37 years. He enjoys spending time with his three children, his family and friends. In his free time, he can often be found biking, gardening, traveling, collecting new varietals of wine, or in service to Re:Vision, a non-profit organization that has found Barry’s passion.

    Andrew Neff—Partner

    Andy provides clients with a wealth of knowledge he has gained from his extensive background in the employee benefits industry. Andy has been with Cherry Creek Benefits since 2009 and became a partner in the firm in 2012. Prior to joining Cherry Creek Benefits, Andy worked at Great-West Healthcare and CIGNA where he held a variety of underwriting, sales and management positions over the course of ten years.

    Andy is an expert in partially self-funded medical plans, stop loss contracts, and experience-based underwriting methodology.

    Andy is the proud father of four children. He and his wife Brooke are actively involved in many sports and activities. Andy is also an avid outdoorsman, with hunting and fly-fishing being his primary pursuits. The Neff family enjoys traveling whenever possible, especially camping in the mountains of Colorado.

    Cari Deslatte—Partner

    Cari received her B.A. with distinction from the University of Colorado at Denver in Psychology with minors in Communications and Sociology. After working as a mental health counselor, she changed course and joined the insurance industry. With more than 10 years of insurance experience, Cari is well-versed in consulting, negotiations, claim advocacy, and customer service. She has been with Cherry Creek Benefits since 2007 and brought with her the expertise she earned during her extensive work as an Account Manager in the brokerage community. She currently holds the designations of Registered Health Underwriter and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant from The American College of Finance. She has also served on the board of the Colorado Group Insurance Association and the United HealthCare Benefit Advisory Committee.

    Cari is an expert at teaching others and explaining concepts. She provides efficient and effective employee benefits consultation which includes plan design, renewal negotiations, plan implementation, employee education, administration assistance and ongoing customer service.

    Cari is a Colorado native and the mom of two very active boys. On her off time she enjoys snowboarding, camping, hiking, and all things outdoors.

    Alyssa Oligmueller—Director of Compliance and Chief Legal Counsel

    Alyssa is a licensed attorney with the State of Colorado and received her license in October 2016. She received her JD and a certificate in Health Law from the University of Colorado School of Law in 2016. She is excited to be a member of the Cherry Creek Benefits team. Alyssa focused her legal career on healthcare and health benefits and has work experience reflecting her knowledge of the healthcare system. Alyssa has a diverse work background: from being a barista during law school, to working for a federal Senate committee, to in-house counsel.

    Alyssa is not a Colorado native, but considers herself very close because she has lived here for 21 years. Alyssa enjoys cooking and reading just about anything. She also has knack, like the rest of her family, for finding a museum to visit anywhere she travels.

    Tim Collins—Benefits Consultant

    Tim receive his Bachelor of Journalism Degree from the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) with a major in advertising and minors in English, history, and marketing. Tim moved to Colorado in 1993 and worked for a reputable advertising and public relations firm before branching out to exercise his account management and sales skills with a Fortune 200 healthcare company. Tim spent 18 years in the healthcare industry developing and leading sales teams with top-notch medical device and capital medical equipment manufacturers, such as BTE Technologies and Animas Corporation (a division of Johnson & Johnson).

    In 2008, Tim took a big leap from medical equipment and devices sales and embarked on a position with Kaiser Permanente as a Large Group New Sales Executive. “I wanted to see my daughters grow and life on the road, at that time, was not affording me that chance.” At KP, Tim had the unique opportunity to work with more than 90% of the broker consultants along the front range. He became the top sales representative for Kaiser Permanente in the Colorado region after his second year. “In that position, I saw, first hand, which brokers engage and which ones didn’t engage with their clients”. “I know that this concept gets overused in our industry, but Cherry Creek Benefits always stood out when it came to client engagement and the implementation of solutions.”

    He joined CCB in May of 2018 after nine years of working for a major insurance carrier and a national insurance consulting firm. Tim has observed since moving the consultant side of the business that the biggest misconception in the market is that local/regional firms don’t have the horsepower and capabilities as the big national names. “That couldn’t be further from the truth,” says Tim. “I have more access to HR capabilities, unique account management services, and industry resources at CCB than ever before.”

    Tim is licensed in Accident and Health, Life, and Property and Casualty Insurance.

    He is the father to two teenaged daughters who attend Cherry Creek High School. His older daughter is committed to play D1 Lacrosse at the University of Oregon. Tim enjoys live music, mountain biking, running, and weight-training. He also spends a lot of time pacing the sidelines or volunteering as a stat keeper for the Cherry Creek High School girls lacrosse program.

    Jodi Zanger—Senior Benefit Analyst

    Jodi has more than 20 years experience in benefit plan financial analysis. Her career started in the corporate headquarters of a human resource department for a Fortune 500 company in Southern California. After relocating to Colorado, she worked for a national brokerage firm as well as a private independent firm before joining the Cherry Creek Benefits team. She primarily provides periodic claims reporting and other plan financial analytics for self-funded and partially self-funded benefits plans for mid-to-large-sized groups.

    Jodi specializes in analyzing high-quality, client-specific plan financial data, which includes providing client-specific reports to aid in the groups’ plan management processes. She also assists in forecasting and modeling for benefit plan funding arrangements, plus marketing fully-insured and self-funded plans.

    She enjoys spending all her spare time with her family relaxing, target shooting, hiking/biking in the summer and touring the warm southern states. Winter months give way to cooking, baking, and catching up on movies (and of course puzzles). Once her kids leave for college, she’d like to volunteer at church and other charitable organizations when she has respite from her caregiving role.

    With more than 13 years of experience on the carrier side, Jen came to Cherry Creek Benefits with a background in account management, self-funded underwriting and corporate wellness design and implementation. Customer service is Jen’s top priority and strives to exceed customers’ expectations.

    Dianne Michener—Account Executive

    Dianne Michener began her career with a local third-party administrator and at Cigna while attending the University of Denver Women’s College.

    In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. During the summer and fall seasons, Dianne enjoys canning jams, jellies, salsa, and many other foods, an activity which she has enjoyed for more than 25 years. Dianne is also a professional cake-decorator and baker. She volunteers weekly as a caretaker for an elderly neighbor.

    Dianne and her husband Paul, recently welcomed their first grandchild Bryan into the world.

    Dianne has more than 34 years of experience in employee benefits. Since 1991, Dianne has worked on the consulting side of the business. Prior to joining Cherry Creek Benefits, she was an Account Executive/Consultant at Willis of Colorado (formerly HRH).

    With a thorough understanding of the benefits business and active industry involvement, Dianne proves to be a great fit with Cherry Creek.     Joan Emanuel—Human Resources & Office Manager

    Before joining the team at Cherry Creek Benefits, Joan worked as a physical therapist’s aide. She found her work very rewarding as she helped patients dealing with pain by performing various laser and electrical therapies and assisting with exercises. Additionally, Joan has held a number of sales, bookkeeping, and human resource positions for country clubs and hotels.

    Physical and mental well-being are two top priorities for Joan, who works out daily. Joan prizes her family above all else, with a life goal to be the best mother she can to her son and daughter.

    Originally from Warren, Ohio, Joan enjoys traveling to beautiful places like the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Mexico. When she has down time, Joan enjoys spending time with her dog Ranger and watching the TV show Chopped.

    Her favorite movie is “Legends of the Fall” and her favorite food is pasta. Lasagna is her favorite type of pasta, because she loves to make her own sauce and uses her “secret recipe” meatballs.

    Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, Sherri moved to Colorado in 1994. Sherri joined Cherry Creek Benefits in February of 2016 after spending 11 years with a large brokerage firm in Denver.

    With more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, Sherri came to Cherry Creek Benefits with a background in account management with an emphasis on client service, handling day-to-day client issues, escalated claim resolution, billing, client/employee problem solving, and compliance. She is involved in every aspect of the client renewal process from initial review, to carrier negotiation, and finally implementation and continued administration.

    Sherri enjoys spending time with her friends and family, attending concerts, and weekend getaways to the mountains. Sherri has a 5-year-old rescued shepherd mix dog named Willow that she also enjoys spending time with.

    Jen Weitzel—Benefits Administration Specialist

    A true Colorado native, Jen was born here and now enjoys rural living with her husband, two horses, three dogs, and four cats. Caring for and working with animals is a passion of Jen’s, as she has a steady clientele of training working dogs, such as Rottweilers, Bullmastiffs, Doberman Pinschers, and Boxers. Jen’s free time is spent working on her five-acre property, fixing up her house, four-wheeling on trails in the surrounding area near her house, and enjoying time with family, friends, and neighbors.

    Jen comes to us after working eight years at HealthSmart Benefit Solutions, where she was the supervisor of ancillary finance. She also used to manage a vet clinic prior to her career in insurance administration.

    Dana brings more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry to Cherry Creek Benefits. Starting in the Property and Casualty industry with an agency as an account manager, she moved on to run a national child care program, and then worked at The Hartford as an underwriter, and ultimately as a sales rep. Dana started at Cherry Creek Benefits in 2003, with duties including agency management systems, payroll, and new employee implementation.
